Our Story
On the 1st of July this year, we are moving to Cape Town, South Africa. We leave the beautiful city of Lisbon with heavy hearts.
In March 2020, Charlotte left South Africa to join friends who were starting a church and building community in Lisbon. COVID hit two days after she landed, and God worked miraculously through what everyone had and could give; it was like living in the book of Acts!
Two years later, Charlotte and Jeffrey connected on one of her trips back to SA, and their connection was immediate. They started dating, and married in February 2022, and, after sneaking Jeffrey into the EU with a honeymoon trip in France, they moved to Lisbon together.
It has now been four years of sun, small apartments, pasteis de natas, very small, strong coffees, laughing as we fumbled through our limited Portuguese, and marvelling at the absolute goodness of God.
We are excited for our next adventure and season. We've only visited Cape Town each for a few days as teenagers, so we are going totally in faith! We have peace about the decision to move, and we believe that God has a plan and a purpose for us in the community we will find there.
